SolarEdge Monitoring App: A User's Guide

Benefits Overview Video
1. Downloading and Logging In
- Step 1: Download the SolarEdge Monitoring app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Step 2: Open the app and log in with your username and password. If you don’t have login credentials, your installer or SolarEdge representative can provide them.
2. Home Screen (Dashboard)
- The Dashboard provides an overview of your system's performance.
- Key Metrics:
- Current Power: Shows the real-time power your system is generating.
- Energy Today: Shows total energy produced for the day.
- Lifetime Energy: Displays the cumulative energy produced since installation.
- Swipe or scroll to see additional data such as environmental impact, which translates production metrics into CO₂ emissions avoided and equivalent trees planted.
3. System Layout
- Accessing Layout:
- Tap on the System Layout icon to see a visual representation of each panel in your solar array.
- Color Coding:
- Panels are color-coded to indicate performance. For example, green shows normal operation, while orange or red may indicate reduced performance or a panel issue.
- Detailed Panel Data:
- Tap on an individual panel to view details like current output and any error messages. This allows you to quickly identify any specific panels that might need attention.
4. Energy Chart
- Step 1: Tap on the Energy tab to view detailed production data.
- Step 2: Adjust the time range (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly) to see your system's performance over different periods.
- Data Interpretation:
- Peaks in the chart typically correspond to high sun exposure times. Sudden dips could indicate shading or maintenance needs.
5. Power Chart
- Step 1: Tap on the Power tab to access real-time power output.
- Step 2: Observe the live production curve, which will fluctuate throughout the day based on sunlight exposure.
- This feature is helpful for seeing immediate impacts of weather or shading on production.
6. Alerts & Notifications
- Step 1: Go to the Settings menu (often represented by a gear icon).
- Step 2: Select Notifications to set up alerts for any system issues. You can choose to receive alerts via email or app notifications.
- Managing Alerts:
- Alerts will notify you of issues such as an inverter going offline or a panel underperforming, helping you quickly address any system concerns.
7. Environmental Benefits
- Accessing: On the main Dashboard, locate the Environmental Benefits section.
- Details Provided:
- Shows CO₂ emissions avoided and the equivalent of trees planted, reflecting the environmental impact of your solar system.
- This section is useful for sustainability reporting or sharing the environmental impact with stakeholders.
8. Exporting Data (if available in-app)
- Some versions of the app allow data exports directly.
- Step 1: In the Settings or Reports section, look for an Export or Download option.
- Step 2: Select your desired date range and file format (Excel or PDF), then export for further analysis.
9. Support & Additional Information
- Step 1: Go to the Help section in the Settings menu.
- Step 2: You can view FAQs or contact SolarEdge Support if you encounter any issues.
