Using the SolarEdge Monitoring Portal: Step-by-Step Guide

1. Logging into the Portal
- Open your web browser and go to the SolarEdge Monitoring Portal: SolarEdge Monitoring
- Enter your username and password. If you don’t have login credentials, contact your installer or SolarEdge representative.
2. Dashboard Overview
- After logging in, the Dashboard provides a high-level view of your solar system's performance.
- Key Metrics:
- Current Power: Shows the real-time power generation.
- Energy Today: Total energy produced so far for the current day.
- Monthly Energy: Total energy produced for the current month.
- Lifetime Energy: Cumulative energy produced since installation.
3. System Layout View
- Step 1: From the main menu, click on Layout.
- Step 2: You’ll see a graphical representation of each panel in your array.
- Color Indicators: Panels are color-coded to represent current performance (green for normal, orange/red for underperforming).
- Detailed Panel Data:
- Hover over a specific panel to view real-time performance data or click to see a detailed view of the panel’s production.
4. Energy and Production Charts
- Step 1: Select Charts from the main menu to access detailed production data.
- Step 2: Choose the time range (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly) for the data view.
- Energy Chart: Shows total energy production.
- Power Chart: Displays real-time and historical power output.
- These charts help analyze performance over time, spot trends, and detect any unusual dips or peaks in production.
5. Setting Up Alerts & Notifications
- Step 1: Navigate to Settings in the upper-right corner.
- Step 2: Select Alerts & Notifications.
- Step 3: Choose the types of alerts you’d like to receive (e.g., inverter offline, low production).
- Step 4: Customize notification preferences, such as email or SMS, to stay informed of any issues.
Alerts help ensure timely maintenance if performance dips or equipment needs attention.
6. Environmental Impact Metrics
- Step 1: From the Dashboard, locate the Environmental Benefits section.
- Step 2: Here, you’ll see data on CO₂ emissions avoided and the equivalent of trees planted, based on your system’s energy production.
- This section is valuable for sustainability tracking and sharing environmental benefits with others.
7. Generating and Exporting Reports
- Step 1: Go to Reports in the main menu.
- Step 2: Choose the report type you need (e.g., production, environmental).
- Step 3: Select the desired date range and format (PDF or Excel), then click Generate.
